From Eastland Chamber of Commerce: The Old Rip Parade (10-2-21) will be postponed 1 hour due to tomorrow's forecast. Line up at 10 am, parade to start at 11 am. Students that were supposed to originally line up at 9:30 will now be at 10:30. Thank you, EISD

The fans from each side will be able to give their pocket change to their school's FCA. The fan side that raises the most will keep the Helmet for a year. All proceeds from the Eastland side will go toward summer athletic/leadership camps for students. Let's make some money to send our kids to camp!

Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the individual or details that may identify him or her. The District is working with local health officials and we have begun a case investigation. Campus administrators will contact any individuals determined to be in close contact with the infected individual. All students and staff that came into close contact will be directly notified as soon as possible. We will keep you apprised of further updates that may be necessary. While we do not have reason to believe that those who were not in close contact with the infected individual have reason to be concerned, we ask that you, as always, watch for symptoms of COVID-19. This is a C.A.S.T. for Kids event designed to provide children with special needs, ages 5-17, the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Not all locations are conducive to hosting boating events. This event gives participants the opportunity to fish from shore. The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation (C.A.S.T. = Catch A Special Thrill) is a public charity that was formed in 1991 to join volunteers who love to fish with children who have special needs and disadvantages for a day of fishing in the outdoors. The Foundation became an official 501(c)3 in 1994 and currently hosts three programs: C.A.S.T. for Kids, Fishing Kids, and Take a Warrior Fishing. C.A.S.T. for Kids Program: Children with special needs (ages 6-18) and their caretakers come together with community volunteers for a fun day of fishing they may not otherwise experience. These events provide a refreshing break from their daily challenges. Spreading a positive message that kids with disabilities can accomplish anything, we include all children, despite their limitations. This is all made possible through national and local sponsors-people who want to make a big difference in the lives of kids with special needs thus strengthening their community.
